Looking for the perfect mix of peaceful views, fun outdoor activities, and close beach access? KOA Madeira Beach has it all. Nestled along the bayou and just a short drive to the sandy shores of the Gulf, this campground offers everything you need for a relaxing family getaway.
We stayed here this summer and absolutely loved our spot on the bayou. The views were beautiful, the campground was clean and cozy, and the entire experience left us ready to book our next visit.
From the moment we arrived, KOA Madeira Beach felt like a true vacation. Our site overlooked the water, which made for peaceful mornings and gorgeous sunsets. It’s a quiet, well-maintained park with just the right amount of activity.
Here’s what stood out:
Heated pool with plenty of seating and shade
The biggest sauna I have ever seen (I honestly thought it was a kiddie pool at first)
A fully stocked general store with all the essentials
Mini golf and table tennis for a small fee
Easy kayak rentals to explore the bayou
We spent an afternoon kayaking and had a blast. Next time, we plan to bring some fishing gear and try casting from the water.
The restrooms and showers were spacious and well-kept, which made our stay feel even more comfortable. The laundry room was conveniently located near the pool and had everything we needed.
Need a quick snack or meal? A Wawa is just down the road, making it easy to grab subs or coffee before heading to the beach.

This laid-back waterfront spot has great food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. If you are driving a large vehicle or towing a trailer, parking can be tricky. I recommend parking nearby and walking over to enjoy your meal.

We love the Madeira Beach Snack Shack for a quick breakfast or afternoon treat. It’s right near the beach parking lot, which fills up quickly. If parking is full, try Reddington Shores as an alternative. It’s a bit quieter and still offers great beach access.
